What is your refund policy?

• Love Sweet Things Bakery is not responsible for damaged cakes after it leaves our possession.

• NO CASH REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED.  

• If you are not satisfied with our cake, notify us within 24 hours and we will work with you to rectify the problem/concern. 

  • No refunds for secured deposits. However, we can apply your deposit to another date if the original schedule date is NOT within 7 days at the time of notice.

Adequate Dessert Temperatures

• All Love Sweet Things baked goods should be store in temperatures below 75 degrees. 

• Cakes should be placed in an already cooled vehicle when picking up. Do not leave cupcakes or other desserts in warm cars. It will melt. 

• Cakes set outdoors risk the chance of melting or condensation. Just don't do it. 

Do you offer taste testing?

• We offer cakes in a jar for purchase. 

How far in advance should I place my order for sweet things?

• At least 2 weeks is required for custom cakes and sugar cookies; however, we recommend placing your order just as soon as your date has been determined as we book fast. 

How do I order a cake?

• Custom Cakes – Custom cakes should be ordered as soon as you have your event date. You can call or swing by the bakery to place your order. A 30% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to secure the date. If you are “penciled” on our calendar without a deposit, I can't promise you that we will still have availability. Outstanding balances must be paid the week of your event. 

• Celebration cakes – Can be order up to two days in advance by calling or swinging by. Or you can order online for local delivery.

How much do your cakes cost?

     We offer two types of cakes:

• Party Cakes – these cakes have all the bells and whistles! Some are cool, cute and others are chic and sophisticated. Customized details include handmade decorated elements such as bows, tiaras, cars, scrolls, pearls etc. These cakes start at $6 per serving. The final cost is determined by amount of labor it takes to complete your customized elements and any equipment rentals, delivery etc. 

• Gourmet Cakes – Most cupcake flavor we offer can be made in the form of a cake in selected sizes. We refer to these cakes as gourmet cakes. They are available at a set price based on size and flavor. Gourmet cakes cannot be customized.

What are my payment options?

• We accept credit cards, cash or check for payments made in advance.

What happens if my date changes?

• Event date changes at least 2 weeks prior to the event can be changed based on our calendar availability. We cannot change the date within 7 days of the original event date. Deposits are non-refundable; however it can be applied to your new date as long as the original scheduled date is not less than 7 days from the notice.

What happens if I need to cancel my order?

• Please contact Love Sweet Things at least two week in advance for cancellations. Deposits are non-refundable if cancelled within two weeks of the event; however, we can apply your deposit to another event date.

How soon can I pickup my cake?

• Please be sure to provide initial preferred pick-up time. We promise to have your cake ready by your specified pickup time. You can pick up your cake any time between your specified time and end business day. NOTE: If you still have not picked up your cake by end of business, you MUST call if you want us to wait for your arrival. There will be a $15 charge for our wait time. To save this late fee, you can pick up your cake the following business day.

How do I return rented equipment to Love Sweet Things?

• Equipment must be returned within 2 days after your event to receive your deposit back. Please contact Love Sweet Things to make arrangements to return rented equipment.

Do you Deliver?

• Yes, delivery and setup is available for party cakes for $25 within a 5 mile radius. $2.55 per additional mile M-F and $3.40 per additional mile over 5 miles. Please provide an advance noticed for adequate scheduling.

Can you ship sweet things?

• We can definitely ship our scrumptious cookies and some chocolate products; however, we do not ship cakes or chocolate covered strawberries at this time.

• Orders placed online will be shipped within 3 business days.
